3 Ways To Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind

One of the main blocks to shifting to a better reality can be the subconscious mind. Many people read books or watch youtube videos on law of attraction or manifesting and consciously believe that they can change or create their dream reality but somehow they stay stuck in the same patterns and never seem to get what they want. This is because the subconscious mind has been programmed to work against them. Fortunately there are ways to reprogram your subconscious mind so that you stop sabotaging your manifestations.

The conscious mind is only 5% of what creates your reality, the other 95% is the subconscious.

The conscious mind is responsible for thinking, planning and decision making while the subconscious mind is conditioned responses or habits. When you do something without paying attention such as driving, that’s the subconscious that’s in control as when you are learning to drive you get to a point where the information you need to do this has become so hardwired in to your body that you no longer need to think about what you are doing.

How Your Subconscious Mind Gets Programmed

In Joe Dispenza’s book, Becoming Supernatural, he writes that the more you repeat a thought, emotion or behaviour, the more that your neurons will fire and wire together to create hardwired pathways in the brain. This creates chemical signals that make you feel equal to the way that you were thinking and think the way you are feeling and you can get stuck in a loop.  Your brain memorises your current reality and keeps creating more of the same. This is why you should never focus on thoughts or emotions that you don’t want or focus on your current reality if it’s not what you desire as these neurons will keep firing together and keep creating the same reality. Instead you should always focus on what you do want so that the neurons in the negative thought patterns will stop firing together and start to seperate and you can create new positive thought patterns.

In Bruce Liptons book Biology of Belief he writes that most of the programs in the subconscious mind are created up until the age of 6 when the brain is in a theta brain state. While your brain is in this state it is more suggestible, easy to programme and absorbs information easily. That’s when you start to inherit beliefs from your parents and the world around you. Unfortunately many of these beliefs can be limiting. Anything a young child has been told, will be downloaded to their subconscious mind as a fact as they don’t have the ability to evaluate whether its true or not. Once these beliefs have been programmed, they will control our lives until we reprogram them.

Once you have control of the subconscious mind and program it with the right information, it will become much easier to create the things that you want as you will start making the right decisions and changing your behaviour without having to consciously think about it.

The way that you can tell what the beliefs in the subconscious mind are is by looking at how your life is at the moment. You might not have certain things that you would like to have or you might notice patterns that keep repeating themselves.

Muscle Testing

Subconscious beliefs can also be accessed through muscle testing. Muscle testing involves holding your arm out and getting someone to push down on it to check if the muscle is locking or unlocking. If you say out loud a statement which your subconscious mind believes is true, the muscle will stay locked when the arm is pushed. If the subconscious mind believes the statement to be false, the muscle will unlock and the arm will drop down.

In Touch For Health Kinesiology you can set a goal which is in the present tense for any aspect of your life. For example if you want to attract money you could look at why you want the money and if its for more freedom, your goal could be “I have the freedom to do whatever I want, whenever I want.” If your subconscious mind does not recognise this statement as true, the muscle will unlock when tested at the same time as saying the statement.

Muscle testing would then determine which techniques your body/ subconscious mind wants to balance you towards your goal. A typical TFH balance would involve testing 14 different muscles and balancing those which unlock. This could be done by rubbing specific neurolymphatic points, holding neurovascular points or tracing meridians etc. Once the muscles have been balanced and are now locking, you would be retested for your goal and when you repeat the statement the muscle should now lock. In theory your subconscious mind has accepted the statement as true (although sometimes there are layers of imbalances and it can take a few balances to clear the old beliefs).

3 Other Ways To Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind

Theta State

While your brain is in theta state eg hypnosis, just waking up or just falling asleep you can think about the things you want to create and believe that you already have them. You could also listen to affirmations and subliminals of the types of behaviour that you want to have. In theta state the brain will immediately download this into the subconscious.

Its important not to just read or listen to something once, but over and over again. Anything you are consciously thinking about, starts to get absorbed by the subconscious and the more you expose yourself to the same information, the deeper you will understand it. People can be addicted to learning new knowledge and are always looking for new information but if they only read a book once then that’s not enough for it to sink into the subconscious mind.

Another example of repetition would be to write your goal or affirmation on a piece of paper and carry it around in your pocket or put it in places that you will see every day. You could also try writing your affirmations down over and over again until you start to believe them.

When you are thinking about how it would feel to have what you want, you are stepping out of the past or present in to the unknown. You can use this new feeling to start to create a new reality as your thoughts will start to reflect the new emotions that you feel.

You can create a vision board, daydream about the life that you want, imagine different possibilities and how they would feel and do guided meditations for creating a new reality. You can also place images of things you want to experience around your home, in places where you will see them so that they lift your energy and inspire you. You should visualise this new reality until you feel excited about it and the more you do this, the more excited you will feel. Eventually the outside world will start to match up with your inner reality.

The more that you feel high vibration emotions such as love, joy, peace and inspiration, the more that you are training your subconscious mind to create these emotions in the future. You can try to feel grateful in advance for the things that you want so that your subconscious mind will start to believe that you already have them and your life will start to reflect this. You can say affirmations such as “ I am so grateful that I have the freedom to do whatever I want whenever I want” You can also write a journal of events that you want to experience as though they have already happened and while you are doing this, you could try to feel the emotions and appreciation that you would be feeling if you had already experienced what you have written.
